Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 August 2026
This policy explains what the PokeCollectr iPhone app (“Card Scanner - PokeCollectr”) collects, why it collects it, and what you can do about it. It covers the app and the website at pokecollectr.com.
Who is responsible
PokeCollectr is developed and operated by Mario García, based in Spain. For anything related to this policy, write to support@pokecollectr.com.
What we collect
We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photo library (only the images you actively choose, such as an avatar), or any health or financial data.
Legal basis
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process this data to perform the contract you accept when you use the app (identifying cards, keeping your collection), and on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service working, secure and accurate. Where consent is required, we ask for it.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers — companies that operate parts of the service on our behalf, such as payment processing, subscription management, hosting and content delivery. They may only use the data to provide that service to us.
- Legal requirements — when we are obliged to disclose information by law, or when it is necessary to protect our rights, our users or the security of the service.
- Business transfer — if the app or the business behind it is ever sold or reorganised, information may be transferred as part of it, subject to this policy.
We do not share your information with advertising networks, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes it was collected for, for our operational needs, and for as long as any legal obligation requires. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove what links it to you.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted. No system is completely secure, so we can't promise absolute protection.
International transfers
Some of the providers that operate parts of the service are located outside the European Economic Area. Where information is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the safeguards recognised by data protection law, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Two of those you can do yourself, right now, in the app:
- Delete your account — Settings → Delete account. This removes your account and its data from our servers.
- Delete your collection — Settings → Delete all inventory.
For anything else — a copy of your data, a correction, or an objection to how we use it — write to support@pokecollectr.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
PokeCollectr is not directed at children under 14 — the minimum age for digital consent under Spanish law — and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you inside the app.
Complaints
If you are not happy with how we handle your information, write to us first — most things are settled that way. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
